"Peace" is the goal. We work to stop struggling against ourselves. We search for moments of rest in the chaos of our lives. We acknowledge how disconnected and disoriented we have become, and seek to reconnect and remember. The work that we will do together focuses on finding this sort of peace. It is not just about solving problems. There will always be problems. It is about changing the nature of the struggle. It is about discovering the possibility of peace that already exists for us, right in this moment.
"In simple terms" is the process. Together we can take your problems and break them down into their simplest parts. We begin right in the present moment, looking at the body, the mind, and the heart (the basic building blocks of who we are). I also make use of some of the big ideas of psychology, philosophy, science, and human tradition. By breaking them down into their simplest terms I can help you to learn how to use them to change your own life.
